The National Space Centre, MoscowThe National Space Centre, Moscow

The National Space Center is a joint initiative between the space agency Roscosmos and the Moscow government. The Centre will host the head divisions of organizations in the scientific and space industry, design bureaus, specialized structural divisions of research and educational organizations.

The construction of the National Space Center is carried out by the construction and engineering holding company Mosinzhproekt. The construction of the Center began in 2019 and is scheduled for completion in 2022.

The Space Center is located on the territory of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center. The total area of the buildings will be about 250,000 square meters. It is assumed that more than 20,000 specialists from Roscosmos will work on the territory of the Center.

As part of the implementation project for Roscosmos, the SODIS Lab has installed a network of strain gauges connected to the SODIS Building M online platform. The devices has been installed in the foundation slab to monitor the stress of the reinforcement cage during construction. The data from sensors is sent to the platform, which analyzes them and provides readings for temperature and deformation characteristics. The technology allows early detection of deformation of the outer and inner layers of reinforced concrete structures.
